I've been looking for Salt and Pepper grinders that don't leave residual salt and pepper all over my counter and these are perfect. They store upside down -- when you use them, you simply turn them over to grind. They have several choices for type of grind but I use the smallest size for salt and the next smallest size for pepper. Since they are an OXO product, I expect them to last a long time. It was a great buy!
